This year I participate on the CQ WW160 CW 2023 on the high power category, it has been quite easy. My entry was single operator high power assisted. I borrowed from the local radio club a final amplifier to help my TS850. The amplifier is a Drake L7 with the two tubes quite tired. With 80 Watt input i got less than 400 Watt output. I performed a good job but I regretted for failing to connect North America. In effect i never heard them on the band.

I used the contest logger QARTest of my friend Paolo/ik3qar that released me the contest summary and statistics that follows.

This year i performed the CQWW CW 2022 on the 15 metres band only. The ionospheric propagation promises good, as a matter in just 13 hours of operations i got 500 QSOs with all continents. I participated in the Single Operator Single Band Assisted category.

I used my analogic station with Kenwood TS850S, the Heatkit SB220 PA with maximun output 500W and the antenna two elements cubical quad for 20/15/10 metres bands 15 metres high. The Reverse Beacon connection got me both Cluster and Skimmer spots. and the CAT system enabled me to tune on the interesing spots frequency.

The contest log QARTest by Paolo ik3qar get me a quite and effortlessly job. At the end these are the results and statistics by the contest logger.

DARC Contest Hub – Referat Conteste  issued the WAEDC CW 2022 final scores on its web site. I found my call sign on the seventh place, I lost two places from the declares score. I have been overtaken by DL6RAI and SP2R respect the declared scores.

The WAE CW 2022 raw score has been just published the european and non european lists on the DARC web site at this link. My entry is on fifth place on the european list for the category Single Operator low pover. I’m happy very much, my job given nice results.

The WAE, Worked All Europe, CW 2022 is gone, with my great satisfaction, i performed the best score in 40 years of participation. 649 QSO, 1.289 QTC, 444 Multipliers, scored 860.742 points during about 36 hours of operations on the category Single Operator low power.

Just three days to the WAE Cw contest 2022. It starts saturday 13 augus t 00.00 UTC and finish sunday 14 august at 23.59 UTC. It is organized by the german radioamateur association, DARC. This is the link to the full contest rules.

The RSGB Iota contest 2022 is passed. It filled up the HF bands of the last weekend. I participated sunday morning for five hours and half and i got 180 qso which 115 with island both resident and Dxpeditions. I used my home station in CW mode of course.

ARI Dx 2022 results

As usually, the italian HF contest manager Filippo/iz1lbg issued quickly the final results of our international contes. On the ARI, monthly magazine, “Radio Rivista” of July appear the full italian classifications and just the top ten of foreign participants. As soon as the results will be published on the ARI site, I’ll post the link to reach them.

Less than one week to the Marconi Memorial Contest HF CW 2022 dedicated to the italian inventor of the radio.

It’s a world wide type contest. Every one can contacts every one. It will take place the first weekend of july of every year. It’s organized by the A.R.I.’s section of Fano city. Eliseo/ik6bak is the contest manager.

The particularity of the Marconi Memorial Contest HF CW 2022 is just one mode of operation, CW ofcourse. The multipliers are each DXCC countries worked on each of the six bands permitted from 160 to 10 meters. There are a lot of cattegories, single band included.
