CQ WW 160-METER CONTEST CW.

Lavorato un po’ di ore nel CQ WW 160-meter contest CW 2020, per 325 qso e 50 countries. E’ stata la mia prima partecipazione in questo contest. Sono stato molto sorpreso dall’alta partecipazione. E’ bello sentire i 160 metri così affollati. Rig: dipolo ripiegato e 80 watt. Farò il possibile per esserci anche l’anno prossimo, magari con un’pò di potenza in più.

I worked a few hours, less than seven, in the CQ WW 160-meter contest 2020, cw mode, I get 325 qso and 50 countries. It was my first participation in the CQ WW 160-meter contest. I have been happily surprised for the high participation. It’s nice heard the 160 meter band crowded. My Rig: folded dipole and 80 watt. I’ll do my best to participate the next year, even with more power.

Ricordo che il governo italiano ha assegnato ai Radioamatori la porzione di banda da 1830 kHz a 1850 kHz, appena 20 kHz, dell’intera banda assegnata dalla I.T.U. ai Radioamatori che va da 1800 kHz a 2000 kHz. I Radioamatori italiani, perciò, sono penalizzati nell’uso di questa banda. Bisogna fare attenzione a non sconfinare perché qualsiasi trasmissione al di fuori del nostro segmento è illegale. Anche, rispondere rapidamente ad una stazione che trasmette al di fuori dalla nostra porzione di banda è un abuso che potrebbe essere sanzionato.

The italian government has assigned to radio amateur the band portion from 1830 kHz to 1850 kHz, just 20 kHz, instead of the full band from 1800 kHz to 2000 kHz allocated by I.T.U to radio amateur. Therefore, italian radio amateurs, are penalized for using this band. We must be carefully not to trespass because any transmission outside our segment is illegal. Even quickly reply to a station calling outside our band segment, is an abuse and could be an administrative penalty.
